We diagnose first
We inspect the whole chimney and find the real cause before we quote, so you fix the actual problem once instead of treating a symptom.

Who we are
Chimney & masonry specialists, now serving Greater Hartford
Chimney Goat is a chimney and masonry company. We handle the whole chimney under one roof, from routine sweeps and inspections to crown repair, leak repair, liners, and full rebuilds, so you are not passed between contractors for one chimney.
Our approach is simple and it does not change from town to town: show up when we say we will, diagnose before we sell, recommend the smallest fix that actually solves the problem, do careful work with the right materials for a New England climate, and leave your home as clean as we found it. That approach earned Chimney Goat a 5.0 rating across 140+ Google reviews at our Natick, Massachusetts location, and it is exactly what we bring to Hartford.
- Serving Hartford and 15 Greater Hartford towns
- Diagnose first, no scare tactics or overselling
- Clean, respectful job sites
- Free written estimates for every job
- Honest labeling of every review and photo on this site
How we work
What you can expect
We right-size the work
If a repair will do, we will not sell you a rebuild. You get the smallest fix that genuinely solves the problem, in writing.
We keep it clean
Drop cloths, vacuums, and respect for your home. We leave the space the way we found it, every time.

Our focus
Chimneys and masonry, done properly
We are not a general handyman service that also touches chimneys. Chimney and masonry work is what we do, from the firebox to the crown. We see the same problems every week and we understand how New England weather, older brick, and freeze-thaw cycles behave on a chimney, in Connecticut just as in Massachusetts.
That focus is why we handle the full range under one roof: repairs, masonry and repointing, crowns, caps and chase covers, leak and flashing repair, liners, sweeps, waterproofing, and full rebuilds.
Safety and clean-work standards
A chimney is a safety system, so we treat it like one. We follow the inspection levels defined in NFPA 211, diagnose before we recommend, do the work to last with the right materials, and protect your home while we are in it with drop cloths and a vacuum.
Our reputation
A 5.0 rating built one job at a time
Chimney Goat holds a 5.0 rating on Google across 140+ reviews. The themes repeat: quality workmanship, fair and clear pricing, clean job sites, and honest recommendations. We would rather earn the next review than chase the next upsell. The Hartford site shows those Natick reviews, clearly labeled, until Connecticut customers add their own. See the work behind the rating on our Projects page, or read what customers say on our reviews page.
